An installation at the Bronx Museum that combines myth, maps and audio from my near death experience during a two day storm near the Antarctic Peninsula. While crossing the Drake’s Passage, the most turbulent body of water on Earth our sailboat malfunctioned and we were carried out to sea with no rescue in sight. Our sail broke and our engines flooded, this harrowing soundscapes provides audiences with a visceral encounter rife with seasickness, mayday calls and tales of journeying to the center of the Earth. This binaural audio sorjourn traces how storytelling and myth become the lifeboat to life’s terrors.
